Ok. I've been bad about updating, pity. So much has happened and probably the biggest thing for me was the horse show, that was fun and hopefully I'll have pics of that. Any way today Josh got back from Bible School and any one who has had a sibling go knows what that's like......they talk about and talk and talk and talk so that's what's it's like! Any way it's great having him back

Back Again and Oh My!

Oh my stars, it's been so long since I updated my stupid blog! Well, we've been back for over a month and so much has happened! Saturday I have a horse show, and Rachelle has her Children's choir consort. Sunday is Sunday of course, and Monday, I have to do School, Tuesday is my Birthday and so on..... Any way I'll up date again soon!

Increadible India

When I said incredible India, I meant it in more than one way. India is such an interesting place, I mean they have some of the most beautiful places and some of the worst, at least from what I've seen.
We arrived at the Delhi airport at about three thirty AM. Our flight was delayed due to "technical problems" and so we ended up being two hours late. But that's Asia, isn't it?Any way we got out and met two of our friends who had hired two taxis to take us to our hotel. We arrived there without any accidents, thank heavens.
It was about five in the morning when a bed was available, but after you pass the night, you really aren't that tiered any more so none of us [except for Dad] really slept. After we went through a breakfast procedure, we went-somewhere [I couldn't possibly spell the name] to exchange our money. Dad always goes from one bank to the next to see who will give him the best value on the exchange rate, Some of us sat down on the steps and waited. I wouldn't generally advise sitting in steps in Asia, but then it didn't matter. Well, some beggar kids walked up and got about ten inches from my face and mumbled, "ten rupies, ten rupies". One little girl was fascinated with my hair clps and she toched the purple rhinestones on them till she decided she'd liek to have it so she bagan pulling it out of my hair. I stood up before she had gotten to far and we walked into the bank to avade them. After that we took a metro to where we needed to go, then all of us crammed into one little motored rickshaw. That was fun, really-increadible. The driver didn't know where to go so her droped us off early, so we had to walk the rest of the way. The streets in India are so increadible. Maybe two busses with people hanging out tring to pass in a street that ought to have been a one way street. Plus several bycicles, rickshaws, motorcyles, and scooters trying to squeeze between the two buses. And of course we're walking on the side of the road, trying not to get run over. Next to us is a wall of dinky, smelly shops with clothes, junk, and really wierd food. The whole area is dusty, the air is so stifilling. The heat intensifies all of the terrible smells that have ever lived on that street, not to mention the dirty liquid in puddles, full of trash and an occasional dead rat. It's very different from anything anyone that never leaves the states will exsperence. It could be mortifiyling, but it's India. The India you come to like, and a whole different cluture. A whole difernet way of life that most of us aren't intouch with.

China at Last!

I really like it here, but I'm already a tid home sick. We saw the Forbidden City yesterday, and today we saw the Great Wall. Both were super cool. It's funny being a tourist since we normally aren't and I like it, but I'm glad we'll be working when we get to India. The people are very friendly here, well most of them, but sadly half of them are trying to sell you useless junk. I would upload pictures, but I don't have my own camera [which is fine since we have five along] and tow the cameras never find their way to this lap top so the pictures I actually take don't get put on. So thats that. I dare say I like Chines food in the sates but, here it's a different story. You eat rice, some sort of sauce, which can be OK, or some totally gross meat that Bethany and I agreed were probably dog. for breakfast yesterday, we had these dumplings. They were a surprise, the waitress brought out several with what ever in them. Some had eggs, some had these fairly good sausages, some were terrible veggies, others were shrimp and the very worst was fish.
Still, it's very nice here and I'm enjoying it.

Anky van grunsven and Salinero [bottom to top],Debbie Dc Donald and Brentina, and Karen O'Connor and Theodore O'Connor who had qualified for the Olympics, but teddy severed his tendon in June and he had to euthanized. He was the only pony to ever qualify for the Olympics....poor Teddy

Just last week we went on our yearly white water raft trip with some of our friends. This trip was incredibly fun, challenging and extremely beautiful.

Yea i've wanted horses for a long time. We got our first horse, Whisper last August and ever since then I've been nuts about jumping and dressage. This last winter we got our second horse Stretch. My best friend Kellsi and I were able to compete in our fist show last May. Besides having a total blast we placed second on Stretch and I placed fourth on Whisper.
